Regular Season Round 25: Sogdiana-Skif - Kamit-Univ. 88-87

Eighth-ranked Kamit-Univ. (8-14) gave a tough game to third ranked Sogdiana-Skif (16-7) in Voronezh on Friday. Sogdiana-Skif managed to secure only one-point victory 88-87. However their fans expected much easier game. Forward Denis Bzhevskiy (202-78) stepped up and scored 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Kazakhstan forward Nail Gafarov (198-88) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Sogdiana-Skif's coach Vitali Kirichenko used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Anton Kurasov responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and forward Artem Denisov (204-86) scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sogdiana-Skif maintains third place in League with 16-7 record having just three points less than leader Cheliabinsk. Kamit-Univ. at the other side keeps the eighth position with 14 games lost. Sogdiana-Skif are again looking forward to face Kamit-Univ. (#8) in Tver in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kamit-Univ. will have a break next round.
