Very expected game in Kursk where 10th ranked MBA-Runa (6-18) was defeated by fourth ranked Dynamo-YUZGU (13-11) 86-80. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Dynamo-YUZGU forced 19 MBA-Runa turnovers and outrebounded them 52-41 including 19 on the offensive glass. 28 personal fouls committed by MBA-Runa helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Aleksey Samokhin (196-83) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Ilya Chernov (188-89) supported him with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Even 25 points and 9 rebounds by forward Pavel Sizov (200-95) did not help to save the game for MBA-Runa.
