Regular Season Round 28: Sogdiana-Skif - MBA-Runa 73-75

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Sogdiana-Skif (18-8) against tenth ranked MBA-Runa (7-19) on Wednesday night. Host Sogdiana-Skif was edged by MBA-Runa in a tough game in Voronezh 73-75. The winners were led by guard Konstantin Babynin (192-88) who scored that evening 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Arseniy Metreveli (189-95) supported him with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four MBA-Runa players scored in double figures. MBA-Runa's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 8 points and 13 rebounds by center Yuriy Kochnev (209-89) did not help to save the game for Sogdiana-Skif. Naturalized Kazakhstan forward Nail Gafarov (198-88) added 14 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. MBA-Runa moved-up to ninth place in League. Sogdiana-Skif at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. MBA-Runa will play against league's leader Tambov at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sogdiana-Skif will play against Dynamo-CBK in Stavropol and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
