Bottom-ranked ZTE KK managed to get the second consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they outleveled twelfth-ranked MAFC in Zalaegerszeg 91-64. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 27-point difference proves that ZTE KK was well-prepared to that game. The game was mostly controlled by ZTE KK. MAFC managed to win fourth quarter 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding MAFC to just 6 points in second quarter. ZTE KK dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to MAFC's 34 and made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded MAFC 40-25 including a 25-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by Serbian power forward Darko Cohadarevic (206-86, college: Texas Tech, agency: Octagon Europe) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and Serbian forward Vladimir Panic (194-82) supported him with 23 points and 9 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Even 16 points and 7 rebounds by American forward Neiko Hunter (201-90, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) did not help to save the game for MAFC. His fellow American import guard Parrish Brown (185-84, college: Maryland) added 14 points. Four MAFC players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ZTE KK (4-17) moved-up to twelfth place. MAFC lost eleventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with 17 games lost. ZTE KK will meet at home higher ranked Szedeak (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. MAFC will play against Kormend (#9) and hope to secure a win.
