Very important is a road loss of third ranked Sogdiana-Skif (20-10) against sixth ranked Elbrus Cherk. (11-14) on Sunday night. Visiting Sogdiana-Skif was defeated by Elbrus Cherk. in a tough game in Cherkessk 99-105. Elbrus Cherk. made 27-of-32 charity shots (84.4 percent) during the game, while Sogdiana-Skif only scored eleven points from the stripe. Sogdiana-Skif was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for point guard Yuriy Karpenko (185-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Point guard Andrey Pavlov (191-86) helped adding 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side forward Denis Bzhevskiy (202-78) responded with 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Kazakhstan point guard Nikita Makshev (185-90) scored 27 points and 8 assists. Five Elbrus Cherk. and four Sogdiana-Skif players scored in double figures. Elbrus Cherk. maintains sixth place in League with 11-14 record. Sogdiana-Skif at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
