An interesting game for UMMC Ekaterinburg (14-0) which played road game in Vidnoye against 4th placed Spartak Vidnoye (9-6). Leader UMMC Ekaterinburg had an easy win 91-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Spartak Vidnoye. UMMC Ekaterinburg dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak Vidnoye's 40 and made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American center Candace Parker (193-86, college: Tennessee) who led her team to a victory with 23 points and 9 rebounds. Italian-American Diana Taurasi (182-82, college: Connecticut) contributed with 26 points and 6 assists for the winners. Slovenian point guard Nika Baric (169-92) answered with 17 points and 5 assists and international power forward Ksenia Tikhonenko (193-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Spartak Vidnoye. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. UMMC Ekaterinburg have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-0 record. Spartak Vidnoye at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. UMMC Ekaterinburg are looking forward to face Energy Ivanovo (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Spartak Vidnoye will play against Dynamo Kursk (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
