Regular Season Round 18: MKB Eurl.Vasas - Atomeromu 61-64

Bottom-ranked MKB Eurl.Vasas (0-17) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 17th consecutive match to seventh ranked Atomeromu (6-10) 64-61 on Saturday evening. Atomeromu outrebounded MKB Eurl.Vasas 49-28 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Maja Scekic (169-87, agency: IPSA) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Serbian center Biljana Stjepanovic (189-87, agency: Josep and Nicolas) chipped in 9 points and 17 rebounds. Atomeromu's coach Gergely Magyar used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Nina Aho (174-97) who recorded 19 points and 4 steals and center Bernadett Hatar (208-94) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Atomeromu maintains seventh position with 6-10 record. Loser MKB Eurl.Vasas still closes the standings. Atomeromu will meet at home higher ranked ZTE NKK (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. MKB Eurl.Vasas will play against Cegledi EKK (#8) and hope to get finally their first victory.
