PBL top team - UMMC Ekaterinburg (16-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Dynamo Moscow (7-8) 89-65. UMMC Ekaterinburg made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. UMMC Ekaterinburg outrebounded Dynamo Moscow 42-30 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Spanish forward Alba Torrens (188-89) fired 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American center Candace Parker (193-86, college: Tennessee) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Four UMMC Ekaterinburg players scored in double figures. Varvara Psareva (192-85) produced 5 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists and Anastasia Pimenova (180-81, agency: LBM Management) added 19 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UMMC Ekaterinburg have an impressive 16-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 16-0 record. Loser Dynamo Moscow keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. UMMC Ekaterinburg will meet Dynamo Kursk (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Dynamo Moscow will play against the league's second-placed Nadezhda Orenburg and hope to secure a win.
