Regular Season Round 33: Rostov - Kazanochka 62-51

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Rostov. Second ranked BC Rostov faced 4th placed Kazanochka. Host BC Rostov (21-9) defeated guests from Kazan (17-13) 62-51. BC Rostov dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Kazanochka's 22. BC Rostov forced 21 Kazanochka turnovers. It was a good game for center Elena Kharchenko (196-83, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. International guard Alexandra Stolyar (179-92) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. BC Rostov's coach Nikolaj Tanaseychuk used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Olga Sizyakova (186-88) answered with 9 points and 6 rebounds and Mariia Popova (182-84) added 12 points in the effort for Kazanochka. BC Rostov maintains second place with 21-9 record having six points less than leader Ladoga SP. Kazanochka at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 13 games lost. BC Rostov will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kazanochka will play on the road against Stavropol (#9) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
