The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Parma (18-6) in Surgut on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by ninth ranked Universitet-Yugra (14-10) 82-66. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Parma. They outrebounded Parma 39-27 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: BeoExcell) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 5 assists and forward Alexander Savenkov (205-82) who added 17 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Sergey Chernov (186-86) with 22 points and point guard Maxim Dybovskiy (192-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Universitet-Yugra maintains ninth position with 14-10 record. Parma at the other side still keeps top place with six games lost. Universitet-Yugra are looking forward to face Izhevsk (#14) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Parma will play against MBA Moscow (#15) and is hoping to win this game.
