Rather expected game in Tobolsk where 9th ranked MBA-Runa (9-24) was edged by sixth ranked Neftekhimik T. (14-19) 64-63 on Saturday. Neftekhimik T. forced 21 MBA-Runa turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Neftekhimik T. made 11 blocks. MBA-Runa was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Gleb Beygelzimer (183-87) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Denis Smetanin (200-88) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Neftekhimik T.'s coach Yuriy Karandashov allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Pavel Afanasyev (-96) who recorded 14 points and 5 rebounds and Ivan Vadeev (200-93) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Neftekhimik T. have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 14-19 record. MBA-Runa lost fourth consecutive game.
