Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Universitet-Yugra (17-11) beat on the road 15th ranked MBA Moscow (3-25) 83-70. Universitet-Yugra forced 20 MBA Moscow turnovers. 30 personal fouls committed by MBA Moscow helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: BeoExcell) who led his team to a victory with 25 points, 7 assists and 6 steals. Forward Alexander Savenkov (205-82) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Universitet-Yugra players scored in double figures. Guard Pavel Shavkunov (190-91) replied with 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and Valery Ershkov (198-92) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for MBA Moscow. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Universitet-Yugra moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ryazan. MBA Moscow lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with 25 games lost. Universitet-Yugra's next round opponent will be Spartak-Prim. (#9) in Vladivostok.
