Very important is a home loss of third ranked Szedeak (15-15) against fifth ranked Alba (14-16) on Wednesday night. Host Szedeak was defeated by Alba in Szeged 98-86. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 12 points. Alba shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: Connecticut) notched 23 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and the former international point guard Balazs Simon (187-80) supported him with 14 points and 9 assists. Four Alba players scored in double figures. Even 30 points and 6 rebounds by Serbian guard Andrija Ciric (199-80, agency: BeoExcell) did not help to save the game for Szedeak. Serbian point guard Branko Jereminov (187-87) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Alba moved-up to fourth place in Division. Loser Szedeak keeps the third position with 15 games lost. Alba will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Szedeak will play against Kormend and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
