Second Stage Round 6: Sopron KC - Atomeromu 82-87

Date: April 4, 2015
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Atomeromu (2-3) beat on the road one of their biggest challengers Sopron KC (2-4) 87-82 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 30-19. But Sopron KC won second period 22-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sopron KC was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for the former international forward Zsolt Szabo (202-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 9 rebounds. American point guard Henry Dugat (183-87, college: Baylor) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Montenegrin swingman Milos Borisov (198-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) replied with 24 points and 9 rebounds and international point guard Dontay Thomas (187-84, college: La Salle) added 21 points and 9 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) in the effort for Sopron KC. Atomeromu moved-up to fourth place in Division. Loser Sopron KC dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Atomeromu will face league's second-placed Szolnok in Szolnok in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
