Second Stage Round 7: KTE-Duna Aszfalt - Kaposvari 90-78

There was a change at the A Division leadership position after last games. Round 7 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Kaposvari (4-3). They were defeated by third ranked KTE-Duna Aszfalt (4-3) 90-78 on Wednesday night. It was a key game for the top position in Division. The game was mostly controlled by KTE-Duna Aszfalt. Kaposvari managed to win third quarter 23-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KTE-Duna Aszfalt dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Kaposvari's 32. 24 personal fouls committed by Kaposvari helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Serbian swingman Marko Derasimovic (198-84, agency: BeoExcell) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 6 rebounds. Montenegrin power forward Filip Barovic (207-90) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side American point guard Branden Frazier (190-92, college: Fordham) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds and the former international power forward Roland Hendlein (204-86) scored 8 points and 14 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KTE-Duna Aszfalt keeps a position of Division leader. Kaposvari will play next round against strong Atomeromu trying to make it back to the top of the standings. KTE-Duna Aszfalt will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
