Second Stage Round 9: Sopron KC - Kaposvari 83-82

A Division round 9 caused change at the leadership position. Fourth defeat of league's leader Kaposvari (5-4) against fifth ranked Sopron KC (3-5) 83-82 was the most important game of the last round. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Kaposvari won third quarter 20-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sopron KC forced 19 Kaposvari turnovers. It was a good game for international point guard Dontay Thomas (187-84, college: La Salle) who saved his team from a defeat with 20 points and 6 assists. International guard Andras Rujak (189-88) contributed with 12 points for the winners. The former international power forward Roland Hendlein (204-86) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and Serbian center Marko Spica (205-86, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 19 points in the effort for Kaposvari. Five Sopron KC and four Kaposvari players scored in double figures. Sopron KC maintains fifth place in Division with 3-5 record. Kaposvari at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Falco KC.
