Important game to mention about took place in Szekesfehervar. ZTE KK (1-0) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging Alba (0-1) 91-89 on Saturday evening. ZTE KK made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Balazs Kerpel-Fronius (194-92) contributed with 21 points for the winners. The former international Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and American forward Tristan Spurlock (203-91, college: Cent.Florida) added 16 points and 5 assists in the effort for Alba. Five ZTE KK and four Alba players scored in double figures. ZTE KK will face MAFC in Budapest in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Alba will play on the road against Kormend and hope to win that game.
