Regular Season Round 1: UNI Gyor - PEAC-Pecs 68-65

A very interesting game took place in Gyor. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of PEAC-Pecs (0-1) to UNI Gyor (1-0) 68-65 on Saturday evening. PEAC-Pecs were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. They outrebounded PEAC-Pecs 40-29 including 27 on the defensive glass. Serbian point guard Tamara Radocaj (170-87, agency: Interperformances) fired 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Lithuanian Monika Grigalauskyte (190-92) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Robyn Parks (183-92, college: VCU, agency: Regeneracom Sports) produced 22 points and 4 steals and Serbian-Bosnian center Dragana Stankovic (195-95, agency: IPSA) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four PEAC-Pecs players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. UNI Gyor's next round opponent will be ZTE NKK in Zalaegerszeg and are hoping to win another game. PEAC-Pecs will play at home against Vasas Akademia and hope to win that game.
