Regular Season Round 3: Alba - MAFC 93-49

There was a minor upset in Szekesfehervar where MAFC (1-2) was outplayed by Alba (1-2) 93-49 on Saturday. The game without a history. Alba led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding MAFC to just 7 points in third quarter. Alba dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to MAFC's 26. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by MAFC's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Tristan Spurlock (203-91, college: Cent.Florida) who scored 12 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. The former international Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 18 points. Five Alba players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Adam Kovacs (201-93) who recorded 6 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Deville Smith (183-91, college: Tenn-Martin) added 10 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alba will face KTE-Duna Aszfalt in Kecskemet in the next round.
