An exciting game was played in Maykop. Dynamo-MGTU faced Elbrus Cherk.. Host Dynamo-MGTU (1-0) defeated guests from Cherkessk (0-1) 75-61. Dynamo-MGTU forced 26 Elbrus Cherk. turnovers. Strangely Elbrus Cherk. outrebounded Dynamo-MGTU 41-29 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Swingman Roman Bazhunaishvili (199-90) stepped up and scored 17 points for the winners and Ilya Khmara chipped in 14 points. Four Dynamo-MGTU players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Rustam Adgiev (195-98) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and center Pavel Dushenkov (206-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dynamo-MGTU will again meet at home Elbrus Cherk. in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
