Regular Season Round 4: Kaposvari - MAFC 90-67

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Kaposvari and 13th ranked MAFC had identical 1-2 record. This time Kaposvari used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Budapest 90-67 on Saturday night. Kaposvari dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to MAFC's 42. They outrebounded MAFC 39-22 including 16 on the offensive glass. It was a very good performance for the former international power forward Roland Hendlein (206-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Serbian center Marko Spica (205-86, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Serbian power forward Nikola Siladji (208-92) replied with 12 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Deville Smith (183-91, college: Tenn-Martin) added 14 points and 5 assists in the effort for MAFC. Five Kaposvari and four MAFC players scored in double figures. Kaposvari (2-2) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser MAFC dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. Kaposvari will face Alba (#7) in Szekesfehervar in the next round. MAFC will play on the road against PVSK Pannon in Pecs and hope to win that game.
