Regular Season Round 3: Atomeromu - UNI Gyor 75-76

A very close game took place in Szekszard between UNI Gyor and Atomeromu. UNI Gyor (3-0) got a very close victory on the road over Atomeromu (1-2). UNI Gyor managed to escape with a 1-point win 76-75 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 10 points at the halftime before their 25-11 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. UNI Gyor made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Atomeromu turnovers. It was a great evening for Serbian point guard Tamara Radocaj (170-87, agency: Interperformances) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Lithuanian Monika Grigalauskyte (190-92) helped adding 21 points. UNI Gyor's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American center Jade Barber (191-89, college: E.Kentucky) with 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Ukrainian forward Kateryna Rymarenko (187-90) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. UNI Gyor will meet at home PINKK-Pecsi (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Atomeromu will play against Vasas Akademia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
