Rather expected game when 5th ranked BC Rostov (1-2) was defeated on the road by second ranked Voronezh-SKIF (4-1) 57-52. Voronezh-SKIF had a 26-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Power forward Galina Litvinenko (186-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Ekaterina Nechepaeva (182-88) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Yana Kotova (186-88) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Evgenia Oksner (165-90) added 11 points in the effort for BC Rostov. Voronezh-SKIF keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Dynamo-2 K. BC Rostov at the other side dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. Voronezh-SKIF's next round opponent will be again BC Rostov at home which should be theoretically an easy game.
