Regular Season Round 3: Cheliabinsk - Spartak SP 75-82

Very predictable result when Spartak St.Petersburg (3-0) defeated on the road Cheliabinsk (0-3) 82-75 on Tuesday. Spartak St.Petersburg made 25-of-29 free shots (86.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was international power forward Artem Pisarchuk (205-92, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Ruslan Tumanov (195-91, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 23 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Spartak St.Petersburg's coach Sergei Grishaev used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Vasiliy Gladyshev (189-83) who recorded 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Aleksey Osokin (178-89) added 14 points and 8 assists respectively. Spartak St.Petersburg will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cheliabinsk will play again against Spartak St.Petersburg (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
