Regular Season Round 3: Kirov - Rusichi K. 85-66

There was no surprise when Rusichi K. (0-2) was crushed on the road by Kirov (3-1) 85-66 on Friday. Kirov dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Rusichi K.'s 30. Kirov forced 30 Rusichi K. turnovers and outrebounded them 57-26 including a 26-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Gleb Fadeev who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Anatoliy Goritskov (211-83, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) helped adding 6 points and 14 rebounds. Kirov's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was guard Kazulin Roman (187-94) with 20 points and 4 steals and guard Nikolay Zavyalov (188-91) scored 10 points and 4 assists. Four Rusichi K. players scored in double figures. Kirov will meet at home Sogdiana-Skif (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Rusichi K. will play against Tegas DR (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
