Regular Season Round 4: PEAC-Pecs - ELTE-BEAC 80-48

Rather expected game when bottom-ranked BEAC-Ujbuda (0-4) was smashed on the road by sixth ranked PEAC-Pecs (2-2) 80-48 on Saturday. The game without a history. PEAC-Pecs led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BEAC-Ujbuda to just 5 points in second quarter. PEAC-Pecs dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to BEAC-Ujbuda's 36. PEAC-Pecs forced 22 BEAC-Ujbuda turnovers. It was a very good performance for international forward Dorina Zele (185-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. International power forward Bettina Bozoki (191-89) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Sara Pusztai (170-87) replied with 15 points and center Timea Gyorgy (185-97) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for BEAC-Ujbuda. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. PEAC-Pecs moved-up to fifth place, which they share with PINKK-Pecsi. Newly promoted BEAC-Ujbuda still closes the standings with four games lost. PEAC-Pecs will face higher ranked MKB Euroleasing (#3) in Sopron in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BEAC-Ujbuda will play at home against ZTE NKK (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
