Cheboksari has finally registered their first victory this season after three consecutive loses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in , where they defeated Stroitiel Engels (2-2) 85-80. Cheboksari made 21-of-23 charity shots (91.3 percent) during the game. Stroitiel Engels were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Anton Lanchakov (202-85) notched 13 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Evgeniy Bogdan supported him with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Cheboksari's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds by power forward Aleksandr Zaykin (206-84) did not help to save the game for Stroitiel Engels. Forward Alexei Kotishevskiy (198-85) added 18 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. It was the only win of guest team this round and in all other games host teams recorded victories. Cheboksari (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eighth place. Stroitiel Engels at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom position with two games lost. Cheboksari will play against higher ranked Sojuz Zaretchny (#7) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
