No shocking result in a game when top-ranked UNI Gyor (4-0) beat at home 4th ranked PINKK-Pecsi (2-2) 85-70 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-70. UNI Gyor looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian Monika Grigalauskyte (190-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of her seven free throws). American forward Cyesha Goree (190-93, college: Michigan, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. UNI Gyor's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Montenegrin guard Jelena Vucetic (178-93) replied with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and American center Jewel Tunstull (190-92, college: Northeastern, agency: Two Points) added 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) in the effort for PINKK-Pecsi. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. UNI Gyor have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Cegledi EKK. PINKK-Pecsi at the other side dropped to the fifth place with two games lost. UNI Gyor will face Vasas Akademia (#8) in Budapest in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
