Winterthur can celebrate their first win this season after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Lancy (0-5) 74-51 on Saturday. The game without a history. Winterthur led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Lancy to just 6 points in second quarter. Winterthur forced 30 Lancy turnovers. Strangely Lancy outrebounded Winterthur 41-28 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Winterthur will meet higher ranked Riva (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lancy will play against the league's second-placed Helios (#2) in Vetroz and hopes to get finally their first victory.
