Regular Season Round 5: ZTE NKK - ELTE-BEAC 64-41

ZTE NKK has registered their first victory this season after four consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat BEAC-Ujbuda (0-5) 64-41 on Saturday. The game without a history. ZTE NKK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding BEAC-Ujbuda to just 5 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded BEAC-Ujbuda 46-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international center Zsofia Horvath (191-82) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. International point guard Dora Nagy (170-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Power forward Melinda Bagi (190-86) produced 8 points and 7 rebounds and guard Szandra Pal (176-86, college: SE Missouri St.) added 7 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. BEAC-Ujbuda's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. ZTE NKK (1-4) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Vasas Akademia. It was BEAC-Ujbuda's fifth loss in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with five games lost. ZTE NKK will meet at home higher ranked MKB Euroleasing (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BEAC-Ujbuda will play against Atomeromu (#7) in Szekszard and hopes to get finally their first victory.
