UMMC Ekaterinburg smashed Enisey Krasnoyarsk 96-65 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Enisey Krasnoyarsk. Guard Olga Vorobyeva (184-87, agency: LBM Management) produced 14 points and 6 rebounds and American center Jennifer Hamson (201-92, college: BYU, agency: LBM Management) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for UMMC Ekaterinburg. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Nadezhda O. Loser Enisey Krasnoyarsk dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with Energy Ivanovo and MBA. UMMC Ekaterinburg will meet Dynamo Moscow (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Enisey Krasnoyarsk will play against Energy Ivanovo (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
