An interesting game for Ruskon-Mordovia (5-1) which hosted in Saransk second-ranked Tambov (5-3). Third ranked Ruskon-Mordovia managed to get a 10-point victory 64-54. Guard Dmitriy Zagnoyko (196-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points. Center Vladimir Lidyaev (203-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Ruskon-Mordovia's coach Dmitry Osipov used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Andrey Voron (207-87) replied with 11 points and 7 rebounds and forward Mikhail Filimonov (204-84) added 14 points in the effort for Tambov. Ruskon-Mordovia have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Tambov at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with Spartak SP. Ruskon-Mordovia are looking forward to face Sojuz Zaretchny (#5) at home in the next round. Tambov will play against Cheboksari and is hoping to win this game.
