Regular Season Round 12: Neftyanik - Dynamo-2 K. 46-49

Seventh-ranked Neftyanik (3-3) made lots of trouble for first ranked Dynamo-2 K. (8-4) in Omsk on Saturday. The visitors from Kursk managed to secure only three-point victory 49-46. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Neftyanik. Dynamo-2 K. forced 28 Neftyanik turnovers. The best player for the winners was center Anna Shchetina (195-90) who scored 12 points. Forward Olga Frolkina (183-97) chipped in 5 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Kseniya Chinaeva (180-89) who recorded 8 points and 8 rebounds and guard Elena Elgina (170-87) added 9 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Dynamo-2 K. maintains first position with 8-4 record. Neftyanik at the other side keeps the seventh place with three games lost. Dynamo-2 K. are looking forward to face Voronezh-SKIF (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Neftyanik will play against UMMC Junior (#4) in Ekaterinburg and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
