Very expected game when 8th ranked MBA (3-4) was rolled over on the road by fourth ranked Dynamo Kursk (5-1) 85-62 on Saturday. Dynamo Kursk forced 21 MBA turnovers. The former international Liudmila Sapova (188-84) scored 13 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Epiphanny Prince (175-88, college: Rutgers) chipped in 12 points and 6 steals during the contest. Four Dynamo Kursk players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Olga Gorbacheva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) with 11 points and 9 rebounds and forward Yana Degtyarskaya (181-95) scored 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Dynamo Kursk moved-up to third place, which they share with Chevakata. Newly promoted MBA dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Dynamo Kursk will meet bottom-ranked Dyn.-GUVD (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MBA will play against Energy Ivanovo (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
