Regular Season Round 6: Univ.Surgut - Sakhalin 66-69

A very close game took place in Surgut between Sakhalin and Universitet-Yugra. Top-ranked Sakhalin (4-0) got a very close victory on the road over 7th ranked Universitet-Yugra (2-3). Sakhalin managed to escape with a 3-point win 69-66 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Universitet-Yugra. International Aleksandr Gudumak (203-93, agency: Alti Sport) notched 27 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and international forward Konstantyn Glazyrin (202-88) supported him with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Sakhalin's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 18 points and 6 rebounds by Ukrainian point guard Pavlo Burenko (184-90) did not help to save the game for Universitet-Yugra. Serbian Nikola Lepojevic (195-82, agency: BeoExcell) added 13 points. Sakhalin have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Universitet-Yugra dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Sakhalin will meet league's leader Parma in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Universitet-Yugra will have a break next round.
