Top ranked Kirov (5-2) recorded its second loss in Cherkessk on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by eighth ranked Elbrus Cherk. (1-2) 78-73. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Kirov. Elbrus Cherk. forced 26 Kirov turnovers. 26 personal fouls committed by Kirov helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was center Pavel Dushenkov (206-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds. Point guard Daniil Larskiy (191-95) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Nikita Burkov who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and power forward Anatoliy Goritskov (211-83, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 21 points and 17 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Elbrus Cherk. left bottom position moving up to seventh place. Newly promoted Kirov still keeps top position with two games lost. Elbrus Cherk. are again looking forward to face league's leader Kirov at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Kirov will have a break next round.
