We should mention about the upset which took place in Tula, where higher ranked Arsenal (4-6) lost at home to ninth ranked Jaroslav (3-7) 67-82 on Sunday. Jaroslav forced 19 Arsenal turnovers. Point guard Aleksandr Amelin (184-88) scored 20 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and forward Alexander Fomin (206-86, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 15 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five Jaroslav players scored in double figures. At the losing side Dmitriy Babushkin responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Kirill Sokolov (192-93) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Jaroslav maintains ninth position with 3-7 record. Arsenal at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. They share the position with Sojuz Zaretchny. Jaroslav will meet at home league's second-placed Ruskon-Mordovia in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Arsenal will play against Cheliabinsk (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
