Very expected game when 13th ranked Jaszberenyi (1-6) was smashed at home by sixth ranked Sopron KC (4-3) 100-79 on Sunday. The game without a history. Sopron KC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Sopron KC shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 59.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian guard Damir Rancic (199-83, agency: XL Basketball Agency) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American swingman Kevin Tiggs (196-84, college: E.Tenn.St.) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Sopron KC players scored in double figures. American point guard Mike Caffey (183, college: Long Beach St.) answered with 22 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian center Rastko Dramicanin (208-86, agency: Beo Basket) added 16 points in the effort for Jaszberenyi. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sopron KC maintains sixth place with 4-3 record, which they share with ZTE KK. Jaszberenyi lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with six games lost. Sopron KC will face higher ranked Alba (#4) in Szekesfehervar in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jaszberenyi will play on the road against Atomeromu (#3) in Paks and hope to win that game.
