Regular Season Round 8: Dynamo-MGTU - Kirov 80-76

There was a change at the Higher League leadership position after last games. The most important game of round 8 was a defeat of league's leader Kirov (5-4). They were defeated by top-ranked Dynamo-MGTU (5-0) 80-76 on Thursday night. Dynamo-MGTU made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Ukrainian center Nikolay Eremin (206-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Artem Gaposhin (185-91) who added 29 points and 4 assists during the contest. Nikita Burkov responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Anatoliy Goritskov (211-83, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) scored 7 points and 13 rebounds. Dynamo-MGTU have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Kirov lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the third place with four games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Dynamo-MGTU. Kirov will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Dynamo-MGTU will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Kirov at home.
