Important game to mention about took place in Moscow. Sixth ranked MBA-2 (5-4) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 9th ranked Ladoga SP (2-7) 56-54 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ladoga SP. They outrebounded Ladoga SP 45-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. Center Nina Glonti (188-97) stepped up and scored 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and point guard Yulia Kozik (176-97) chipped in 7 points and 11 rebounds. MBA-2's coach Alexander Mikhaylyuk allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side guard Nadezhda Burenkova (174-90) responded with 25 points and 7 steals and forward Ekaterina Posylkina (183-93) scored 8 points and 11 rebounds. MBA-2 moved-up to fifth place. Ladoga SP at the other side keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. MBA-2 will again play against Ladoga SP (#9) in St.Petersburg in the next round. Ladoga SP will have a break next round.
