Very predictable result when second ranked Ruskon-Mordovia (9-1) defeated on the road 9th ranked Jaroslav (3-9) 96-84 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was guard Dmitriy Zagnoyko (196-85) who scored 47 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Roman Semerninov (200-81) chipped in 16 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Alexander Fomin (206-86, agency: Alti Sport) who recorded 18 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Aleksandr Amelin (184-88) added 17 points and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ruskon-Mordovia have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after AltajBasket lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Jaroslav at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Dynamo-CBK. Ruskon-Mordovia will meet Spartak St.Petersburg (#5) on the road in the next round. Jaroslav will play against Cheboksari (#3) and hope to secure a win.
