Regular Season Round 15: Sparta&K-2 V - UMMC Junior 80-70

Bottom-ranked Sparta&K-2 V managed to get the second consecutive victory on Monday night. This time they won against fifth-ranked UMMC Junior in Vidnoye 80-70. They outrebounded UMMC Junior 38-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Daria Kurilchuk (179-98) who scored 21 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Kamilla Ogun (190-99) chipped in 12 points. Four Sparta&K-2 V players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Elizaveta Komarova (172-95, agency: LBM Management) who recorded 21 points and point guard Viktoriia Zavialova (166-98) added 9 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sparta&K-2 V (3-8) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Stavropol. UMMC Junior lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with five games lost. Sparta&K-2 V is again looking forward to face higher ranked UMMC Junior (#5) in Ekaterinburg in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. UMMC Junior will have a break next round.
