Regular Season Round 18: MBA-2 - Rostov 62-48

There was no surprise in Moscow where 6th ranked BC Rostov (6-10) was defeated by third ranked MBA-2 (10-4) 62-48 on Friday. MBA-2 forced 20 BC Rostov turnovers. Point guard Yulia Kozik (176-97) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Daria Prosolupova (170-94) chipped in 12 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Evgenia Oksner (165-90) with 13 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Jane Elizabet Morozova (187-97) scored 11 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. MBA-2 have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Dynamo-2 K. BC Rostov lost third consecutive game. Loser BC Rostov dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. MBA-2 will meet UMMC Junior (#5) in the next round. BC Rostov will have a break next round.
