There was a minor upset in Vidnoye where 7th ranked Neftyanik (5-6) was defeated by ninth ranked Sparta&K-2 V (4-9) 79-74. They made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Forward Adelina Abayburova (186-95) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winning side and Kamilla Ogun (190-99) accounted for 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Kseniya Chinaeva (180-89) came up with 18 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Galina Lyashenko (172-91) added 15 points respectively for Neftyanik in the defeat. Four Neftyanik players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Sparta&K-2 V moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Stavropol. Neftyanik lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with six games lost. Sparta&K-2 V will again play against higher ranked Neftyanik (#7) in Omsk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Neftyanik will have a break next round.
