Regular Season Round 11: PVSK Pannon - Kormend 71-84

Not a big story in a game in Pecs where 12th ranked PVSK Pannon (4-7) was defeated by fifth ranked Kormend (8-3) 84-71. The game was mostly controlled by Kormend. PVSK Pannon was better in second period 20-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded PVSK Pannon 42-19 including a 31-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Wesley Channels (190-88, college: Austin Peay St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import point guard Kendrick Perry (183-92, college: Youngstown St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American point guard Will Walker (183-87, college: De Paul, agency: HMS) answered with 18 points and naturalized Serbian guard Marko Popadic (189-89) added 16 points in the effort for PVSK Pannon. Four PVSK Pannon players scored in double figures. Kormend moved-up to third place. PVSK Pannon at the other side dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost. Kormend's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Szolnok in Szolnok and it will be for sure the game of the week. PVSK Pannon will play on the road against KTE-Duna Aszfalt (#8) in Kecskemet and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
