Regular Season Round 11: Kaposvari - KTE-Duna Aszfalt 78-64

An interesting game took place in Kaposvar where 8th ranked KTE-Duna Aszfalt (5-6) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Kaposvari (4-7) 78-64. It looked good early as KTE-Duna Aszfalt took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kaposvari had a 21-15 second period charge getting the lead and KTE-Duna Aszfalt was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-78. Kaposvari dominated on the defensive end, holding KTE-Duna Aszfalt to just 7 points in third quarter. Naturalized Serbian center Marko Spica (205-86, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international power forward Roland Hendlein (206-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-90) answered with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian center Kemal Karahodzic (210-89) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for KTE-Duna Aszfalt. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kaposvari moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Szedeak and PVSK Pannon. KTE-Duna Aszfalt at the other side keeps the eighth position with six games lost. Kaposvari will have a break next round.
