The game in Budapest supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked UNI Gyor (7-2) played at the court of 8th ranked BEAC-Ujbuda (1-8). UNI Gyor smashed BEAC-Ujbuda 67-46 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 67-46. UNI Gyor dominated on the defensive end, holding BEAC-Ujbuda to just 7 points in second quarter. They held BEAC-Ujbuda to an opponent 23.9 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.0 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded BEAC-Ujbuda 38-24 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. UNI Gyor looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Cyesha Goree (190-93, college: Michigan, agency: Interperformances) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners and Serbian point guard Tamara Radocaj (170-87, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Four UNI Gyor players scored in double figures. Coach Peter Volgyi's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was forward Krisztina Sule (178-87) with 21 points and power forward Judit Barnai (190-94) scored 9 points and 13 rebounds. UNI Gyor keeps a position of league leader, which they share with UNIQA Eurol. Newly promoted BEAC-Ujbuda keeps the eighth place with eight games lost. They share the position with ZTE NKK and Vasas Akademia. UNI Gyor will meet PEAC-Pecs (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. BEAC-Ujbuda will play against Cegledi EKK and hope to win that game.
