The game between Top Four teams took place in Ekaterinburg. 4th ranked host UMMC Junior (8-8) lost to third ranked MBA-2 (11-5) 65-54. The winners were led by center Nina Glonti (188-97) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and forward Anastasia Gavrilova (187-88) supported her with 9 points and 9 rebounds. Even 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by point guard Elizaveta Komarova (172-95, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for UMMC Junior. Forward Daria Shomodi (184-95) added 10 points and 12 rebounds for the hosts. UMMC Junior's coach Denis Sevastianov rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted MBA-2 maintains third position with 11-5 record having just three points less than leader Samara. UMMC Junior at the other side dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. MBA-2 will play against Neftyanik (#4) in Omsk in the next round. UMMC Junior will play at home against Ladoga SP and hopes to get back on the winning track.
