Regular Season Round 19: Dynamo-CBK - Stroitiel Engels 92-77

Bottom-ranked Dynamo-CBK managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of six consecutive losses on Tuesday night. This time newly promoted Dynamo-CBK won against fifth-ranked Stroitiel Engels in Stavropol 92-77. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 15-point difference proves that Dynamo-CBK was well-prepared to that game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. It was a great evening for forward Aleksey Ostrovskiy (202-93) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Naturalized Kazakhstan forward Nail Gafarov (198-88) helped adding 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Dynamo-CBK players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Alexei Kotishevskiy (198-85) responded with 27 points and swingman Pavel Zhukanenko (194-86) scored 23 points. Newly promoted Dynamo-CBK maintains eleventh place with 3-15 record. Stroitiel Engels at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Dynamo-CBK will again meet at home higher ranked Stroitiel Engels (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Stroitiel Engels will have a break next round.
