No shocking result in a game in Ekaterinburg where fifth ranked UMMC Junior (9-8) defeated bottom-ranked Ladoga SP (3-14) 73-56. UMMC Junior made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. UMMC Junior outrebounded Ladoga SP 48-29 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for point guard Elizaveta Komarova (172-95, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with 18 points. Forward Daria Shomodi (184-95) contributed with 9 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. UMMC Junior's coach Denis Sevastianov used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Nadezhda Burenkova (174-90) answered with 11 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and forward Ekaterina Posylkina (183-93) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ladoga SP. UMMC Junior maintains fifth place with 9-8 record. Ladoga SP lost their fifth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. UMMC Junior will again play against bottom-ranked Ladoga SP (#10) in St.Petersburg in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Ladoga SP will have a break next round.
